In The Matrix Resurrections (2021), the Swarm refers to a new method of control implemented by The Analyst to replace the Agent programs from the original trilogy

Queue, real world Swarms: A Swarm like a super-team of tiny robot helpers working together at the same time!

Remember how we talked about Claude Opus 4.6 being the new smartest AI champ? When Anthropic (the company that made Claude) released it on February 5, 2026, they also added a cool new trick called Agent Teams in their tool called Claude Code.

People call it a "swarm" (like a big group of bees buzzing around doing jobs) because:

• Instead of just one smart AI thinking alone...

• You can now make a whole team of many Claudes (like 10 or 16 little Claudes) all working together at once!

They split up a big hard job into smaller pieces:

• One Claude might write the front part of a computer program (like the buttons and colors you see).

• Another Claude works on the back part (the hidden stuff that makes it work).

• A boss Claude (the leader) tells everyone what to do, they chat with each other, fix mistakes, and put everything together — all without a person helping every step.

In the big example, they used this swarm (called Agent Teams) to build a whole C compiler (a super important program that turns code into games and apps) from zero... and it even worked on different computer types and built the Linux operating system! It cost about $20,000 in computer time, but saved years of human work.

It's Anthropic's answer to things like OpenAI's Swarm (an older tool they made for making teams of AIs) or other companies' agent groups.

In the Model Wars right now, this is a huge move — Claude can now do giant projects faster by teaming up with itself, like having a whole class of smart kids building something together instead of one kid doing it all alone.

Super exciting for people who build apps or automate work! It's making AI feel like a real team of workers. 🚀🐝
