From Fake Human to Real Robot: Elon Musk Proves Doubters Wrong Yet Again
The first demo of the Telsa robot was, a human. In a leotard.
This time its real.
I saw a guy on Twitter claiming Elon isn’t even an engineer just a slick used car salesman
OK there Joey, looks like he’s got robots now. What you got?
There is narcissism within specialist circles. Do you lift bro? Do you even engineer? Can you code? Then an entrepreneur who grasps it all, makes something like this.
Optimus Robot Marches Closer to Commercialization
Ah, Elon Musk. The man who can turn science fiction into reality with a mere flick of his wrist. Critics have always doubted his abilities, questioning whether he's truly an engineer or software developer. But guess what? In just one year, Musk has taken Tesla from a fake human in a costume posing as a robot to an actual robot that's getting closer and closer to commercialization. Cue the mic drop.
When Musk first announced the Tesla Bot, many skeptics dismissed it as a mere recruitment strategy to lure AI talent for the company's self-driving endeavors. They believed it was just a distraction from the real work at hand. Little did they know that Musk had a grand plan brewing beneath his charismatic smile.
Initially, the Tesla Bot seemed like a side project, something that could be achieved by repurposing existing technology. But as weeks went by, it became evident that the so-called "side project" was gaining momentum within Tesla's corridors. Andrej Karpathy, Tesla's AI director, boldly declared that the Tesla Bot was on track to become the most powerful AI development platform. Ouch, doubters, did that sting a little?
And now, in a move that has left critics scratching their heads, Musk has declared that the Optimus humanoid robot is the most important product development for Tesla this year. That's right, the humanoid robot takes precedence over the highly anticipated Cybertruck. Talk about shaking up priorities and leaving skeptics with their jaws on the floor.
But Musk didn't stop there. He dropped a truth bomb on the labor shortage crisis. While others fret about the economy and the scarcity of human workers, Musk is already envisioning a world where robots like Optimus replace manual labor. He sees the potential for Optimus to be more significant than Tesla's vehicle business itself. And who are we to doubt his grand vision? After all, he's just a guy who sent a car into space. No biggie.
To add insult to injury, Musk made it clear that Tesla's own factories will be the testing ground for Optimus. If they can't find a use for it, well, tough luck to those who doubted its potential. Musk is confident that if Tesla can't find a use for Optimus, others won't either.
