Andrew Rust is Empowering Children with Technology
Andrew's startup ByteSize Learning is creating opportunities and personal growth for students aged 8-18.
Welcome to the future of learning technology! Meet Andrew Rust, the founder of ByteSize Learning- a startup that is an online education company for kids giving them the necessary technological tools for the future.
Growing up in Raleigh, North Carolina, Andrew attended a public school where he found his inspiration for ByteSize Learning. Interestingly enough, Andrew stated that “over half of U.S. high schools as well as two-thirds of U.S. middle schools contain zero technology curriculum. Thus, he began ByteSize as a tutoring service for peers until transitioning to provide supplemental education for children in that were in the beginning stages of their academic or professional careers.
With 120+ students, ByteSize Learning is quickly growing into a prominent figure in the educational technology sector. The way in which ByteSize Learning works is that students will enroll in courses that are one week long, composed of 5 hour long sessions. Most classes are limited to only 5 students to ensure that all the interactions on the platform are personalized for success. In addition instructors also offer 1-on-1 sessions if a student wants more personal attention.
In our exclusive interview with Andrew, he shares his insights on the future of education in the states, his advice for other entrepreneurs, and the role community/partnerships have played in their growth. Watch now to learn how ByteSize Learning provides unique learning experiences for students aged 8 through 18 in various topics such as coding, graphic design, video production, digital music composition, and more.
